Nicole Kozak has joined us through Rowan University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program as a Therapist intern. She has a passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Nicole uses a compassionate, client-centered perspective, along with evidence-based modalities, to create an individual counseling experience for clients of all ages.
Nicole recognizes the importance of enhanced communication, problem-solving, understanding, and transitions within the family unit. She integrates a cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness approach to treatment with her clients at CFCE. With her background in psychology and her empathetic nature, Nicole strives to instill hope in her clients and assist them with meeting their goals. Nicole works with children, teens, and young adults to help them manage stress, anxiety and OCD, resolve behavior problems, or heal after a loss or traumatic event.
Nicole received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rowan University in 2017. Nicole’s years of experience working in physical, occupational, speech, and applied behavioral analysis therapies have given her a foundational understanding of integrative therapies and how they affect emotion regulation and behavioral issues.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys exercising, spending time down the shore, and completing DIY projects around her home.
