Shannon Madgey

Shannon Madgey is a current graduate student at New York University enrolled in the Mental Health & Wellness program and joins the Center for Counseling and Education as a counseling intern. She has worked for the last three years providing life skills to the severely mentally ill population as a residential counselor.  Shannon takes a strength-based and client-centered approach to provide warm and compassionate care to her clients. Shannon has an interest in helping young children work through trauma with play therapy as well as gaining experience in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR.
