Gillian Klos, MS, MA, LAC
It is not about being perfect, it’s about being willing to grow.
Taking the first step into self-exploration is a courageous act and I am here to take that journey with you. We will work as partners and embrace the uncertainty that comes with change together. My primary commitment is to provide a safe, nonjudgemental space where I endeavor to make clients of all ages feel seen, heard, and understood.
I hold an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and an MA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College. This extensive academic background, combined with over two decades of real-world experience, provides me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of human behavior and the factors that shape our experiences. My counseling approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and informed by ongoing learning and clinical insight.
I offer comprehensive support for children, teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. My expertise includes helping clients navigate:
- Managing intense emotional states such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief and other emotional regulation challenges.
- Healing from past experiences including those related to loss, trauma and life transitions.
- Improving interpersonal dynamics by exploring relationship issues, attachment styles, social skills and parenting struggles.
- Understanding complex inner experiences and challenges related to self-esteem and identity.
I also provide affirming and informed support for the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals who are justice-involved.
I’m here to help you on your journey towards personal growth, resilience, and positive change.
