Hailey Crino
Hailey Crino, MA, LAC, NCC
Hi, I’m Hailey! As a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), I work with children, teens, young adults, and families, creating a space where you feel empowered to explore your emotions, express yourself, and feel truly heard.
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns they want to change, or navigating challenges that feel difficult to manage on their own. I believe that healing happens within meaningful connections. I offer a warm, open space grounded in acceptance, curiosity, and compassion, where clients can show up authentically, deepen self-understanding, and build on their strengths.
My Approach
No two people are the same, which is why I believe therapy should be as unique as the individual. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to your individual needs. I recognize the diverse experiences and the interrelated factors that shape one’s well-being. I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are while offering support that encourages self-exploration, emotional development, and acceptance. In our sessions, we’ll work together to better understand what you’re going through and begin taking steps toward change, growth, and greater self-understanding. You will often find me integrating an attachment, relational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens. I am especially passionate about the intensive training I have received in various play therapy modalities and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.
Specialized Training:
- Child-Centered Play Therapy: Integrating and processing experiences while fostering growth through children’s natural language of play.
- Gestalt Play Therapy: Building awareness of thoughts, feelings, and experiences in the present moment through experiential play-based activities that empower self-esteem and emotional regulation.
- TraumaPlay, Sand Tray Therapy, and Attachment-based interventions: Process trauma, understand relational patterns, and facilitate healing through insight and perspective, emotional expression, and strengthening relationships.
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD: Supporting clients in gradually facing fears while reducing compulsions and avoidance, integrating play-based approaches for pediatric OCD.
My Background + Commitment
I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in mental and holistic health, from Stockton University.
I value a holistic approach that incorporates mindfulness-based practices to help clients stay grounded and present in their healing process. My experience in community outreach and advocacy has shaped my perspective on the significance of meaningful connections, empowerment, and a supportive environment for growth. I also have experience facilitating groups using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Outside of sessions, you will find me playing guitar, spending time with my two cats, exploring nature, and experimenting with new baking recipes.
