Sierra Neal

Sierra Neal, MA, LAC is a Licensed Associate Counselor. Sierra obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University majoring in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rowan University. Sierra has a burning passion to help others heal from current and past stressors, as well as advocating for the liberation and healing of all communities. Sierra understands the importance of being an avid listener to cultivate a trustworthy relationship with others and prides herself on being able to provide a safe space for individuals struggling to cope with life’s hardships.

Sierra dedicates her life’s work to being of service to others stemming from her 10+ year leadership with Faith In Action Ministries, granting her several opportunities to travel extensively overseas to various countries on mission trips. Through this non-profit gospel arts organization, Sierra has had the opportunity to participate in cultural exchange, teaching, sharing, and utilizing performing arts to relay a message of hope and freedom. As a woman of color, Sierra continues to be a change agent for those in the black community, striving towards breaking the mental health barriers in communities of color.

Through her warm, gentle, compassionate, and empathetic approach, Sierra utilizes a client-centered approach to assist young adults and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the stressors of life. She also integrates a cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and mindfulness approach to treatment with her clients. Sierra is intentional about developing sincere and genuine relationships with others, ensuring that she can provide a safe space for well-rounded healing through an equal partnership with her clients in the counseling process. It is her hope that through a combination of evidence-based practices and a comfortable therapeutic environment, individuals will be strengthened emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. She holds a strong desire to help others become the best possible version of themselves and encourages her clients to achieve their life and treatment goals with a great deal of support.
