Guiding Your Path to Understanding, Connection, and Growth

Are you or your child navigating the complexities of anxiety, trauma, or depression? Is your family struggling with communication, or are you seeking support for unique learning challenges like ADHD or Autism? As a seasoned therapist with over 15 years of experience, I understand that seeking help is a courageous step. My commitment is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen, heard, and appreciated on your journey.

I’m Megan, and my approach is rooted in the belief that every behavior has a reason, and every individual holds the capacity for positive change. Together, we will uncover the roots of your challenges, clarify your unique needs, and collaboratively develop actionable strategies to help you or your loved ones move forward with greater peace and connection.

Specialized Support for Children, Teens, Adults & Families

My diverse experience allows me to offer tailored support across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of concerns:

  • Healing from Trauma & Stress: Utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an efficient and effective therapy, I help individuals process distressing experiences, reduce the impact of trauma, and find greater calm and resilience.
  • Managing Anxiety & Depression: Learn practical tools and strategies through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches to gain control over overwhelming thoughts, persistent sadness, and worry, leading to more peace in daily life.
  • Navigating ADHD & Autism: For individuals and families impacted by ADHD and Autism, I provide understanding, effective strategies, and support to enhance communication, manage daily challenges, and foster connection.
  • Grief & Loss: Offering compassionate guidance through the pain of loss, helping you process emotions and find healthy ways to cope and integrate your experiences.
  • Improving Family Dynamics & Relationships: Collaborative support to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen bonds within families and between individuals.
  • Empowering Parents with Coaching: Gain valuable insights and practical techniques to better understand your child’s behaviors, improve communication, and foster a more harmonious family environment.

Unique Expertise in School-Related Concerns

With a decade of experience as a certified school psychologist on a Child Study Team and as a current school counselor and adjunct professor, I offer unparalleled insight into the educational system. If you are a parent grappling with:

  • IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) & 504 Plans: I can demystify reports, explain your rights, and help you advocate effectively for your child’s needs.
  • Learning Difficulties & Behavioral Challenges in School: Understanding what to reasonably expect from school systems and how to partner with educators to support your child’s academic and emotional well-being.
  • Transitioning through school changes: Guiding students and families through academic and social challenges from elementary through college.

My extensive background working with diverse populations – from adolescents in intensive outpatient programs to adults in detox units – enriches my holistic understanding of mental health and well-being.

My Approach to Your Growth

I believe in building a strong, compassionate connection with each client, fostering an environment where you feel safe to explore. I’ll work collaboratively with you, helping you to:

  • Uncover the “Why”: Understand the origins of behaviors and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
  • Develop Actionable Plans: Create realistic, manageable goals to move towards a more positive and fulfilling direction.
  • Cultivate Self-Awareness: Learn how your unique perspective shapes your experience and how to navigate the world with greater insight.

Professional Background & Dedication

My academic journey includes a BA in Psychology from The Catholic University of America, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University, and certification in School Psychology from Rowan University.

As a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), I’ve dedicated over 15 years to supporting individuals and families. My commitment to the field is reflected in my past service on the GUSTO board of the New Jersey Association of School Psychologists, where I was honored with the NJASP Excellence in Service Award in 2009. I’m also a current member of the Burlington County School Counselors Association and have been honored with two nominations for the School Counselor of the Year award in 2022 and 2024. I also serve as an adjunct professor for undergraduate students working towards a Childhood Studies minor and graduate students working for the MA in Counseling at Stockton University.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I’m not working with clients or teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling to experience new cultures, boating, enjoying music, getting lost in a good book, and organizing events. These passions enrich my life and inform my empathetic approach to therapy.
