Marie Wiliszewski joins the Center for Counseling and Education (CFCE) through Rowan University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program as a counseling intern.
Marie has a strong interest in psychology and helping others. Her passion led her to the role of Resident Assistant during her undergraduate career at Rowan University, providing support to students through reflective listening and conflict resolution and also helping students learn effective self-care techniques including organization, time management, and mindfulness. Marie was a patient observer at a local hospital, offering support to patients with harmful behaviors, and she has experience providing group therapy to children and adolescents.
With this experience, Marie looks forward to offering counseling services to children, teens, and their families using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy, allowing for creative and expressive outlets for her clients harmonized with practical, useful, and effective skill-building interventions. Marie’s approach is client-centered, supportive, and empowering. She works side by side with clients to find their voices.
When Marie steps out of the office and the classroom, she leans into her love of animals and enjoys spending time with her rescued beagles.
