Join our thriving, ‘family style’ private practice providing state-of-the-art therapy services to all ages. 

The ideal candidate wants to work with children and their families and has prior training or experience in ‘child-friendly” approaches. If you are comfortable with children and have solid therapeutic skills, we can train you in evidence-based interventions for children including play therapy.

Administrative Assistant Position

Position Overview: Center for Counseling and Education (CFCE) is seeking a PART-TIME Administrative Assistant. Administrative Assistant will work 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 2 pm – 7 pm, supporting the front and back end of our business, including scheduling client calls, billing, client support, and ensuring our staff is supported. The position has the potential to grow to full-time.

Clinical Therapist Position

We are looking for an energetic, relational, and committed individual with excellent organization skills who desires to work in a collaborative environment.

Prior training in attachment focused therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), trauma informed therapy, EMDR, play therapy, family therapy, CBT and/or ERP, or LGBTQ issues is a plus. We are committed to continued professional growth for all our therapists and offer frequent training and supervision on site.

Requirements are:

  • Current New Jersey license as a Ph.D., PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
  • *May consider LAC or LSW with relevant experience.
  • Willing to work 20 hours per week or more including some evenings and/or weekends
  • Ability to use electronic records system and complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Culturally competent and LGBTQIA+ affirming

Administrative Assistant Job Description

Position Overview: Center for Counseling and Education (CFCE) is seeking a PART-TIME Administrative Assistant. NOTE regarding COVID: The safety of our employees is our priority. Until it is safer, most of our therapists are working virtually. This position requires in office work. Administrative staff hours are staggered so that only one person is working in the office at a time with minimal face-to-face contact with others.

Reports to: Office Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage calls from clients and keep the information updated within our confidential google drive.
  • Manage intake paperwork collection and ensure EHR files are accurate.
  • Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment and office appearance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work are required.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by the Center for Counseling and Education.
  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Align with the Center for Counseling and Education’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Must be punctual in reporting to work.
  • Be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using Google sheets, docs, forms, and drive
  • Ability to use Microsoft Publisher to create flyers preferred.

Therapists with both professional and lived experience within the LGBTQ+ communities are in high demand. We are seeking an individual with a high level of comfort exploring and supporting gender and sexuality exploration and development. Experience with trans and enby youth a plus! Our practice is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of people of all genders and sexualities.
