Worrying about your baby, having the “baby blues” for a few weeks after giving birth, and even having unwanted intrusive thoughts are all common and normal experiences during pregnanacy and postpartum. But sometimes these can become unmanageable or stretch for longer periods of time than what is typical, impacting your ability to care for yourself and your baby.

This is a therapist-led support group is for new mothers within the first year postpartum seeking support, connection and a space to process the transition into motherhood. Join us for a safe space to talk, share, and heal!

1 in 5 mothers experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMAD) during pregnancy or postpartum.

Common PMAD signs include:

  • Feelings of sadness, guilt, shame, hopelessness, anger, or rage
  • Recurring scary or unwanted thoughts
  • Lack of interest in the baby or difficulty bonding with the baby
  • Physical symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and nausea
  • Loss of interet, joy, or pleasure in things you used to enjoy
  • Constant worry or racing thoughts
  • Disturbance of appetite and sleep, beyond what is expected in the perinatal period
  • Thoughts of harming the baby or yourself

    Meet the Therapist: Courtney Putt, LSW, PMH-C

    Courtney is a clinical therapist and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) with experience working with individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges. As a mother and woman who has experienced a postpartum anxiety disorder herself, Courtney is passionate about supporting moms and families in the perinatal period.
