A Focus on Child & Teen Emotional Growth

Are You Seeing Your Child Struggle With…

  • Frequent meltdowns or big emotions that feel overwhelming to manage at home?

  • Intrusive thoughts, repetitive rituals, or “stuck” behaviors that your child feels they must do to feel okay?

  • Worry, stress, or anxiety impacting their performance at school or their social life?

  • Difficulty expressing feelings and needs in constructive ways?

  • Finding the right tools to thrive with ADHD or Autism?

If you answered yes, you are not alone. My deepest passion is creating a safe, understanding space where children and teens feel seen, heard, and truly empowered to navigate their emotional lives. I am dedicated to helping families build resilience and connection.

My Approach: Evidence-Based & Heart-Centered

I know that reaching out for support is a significant step. My goal is to partner with you to create a safe and collaborative environment where your child can explore their challenges and achieve lasting personal growth. My approach is rooted in empathy, a holistic focus on strengths, and the application of evidence-based practices—including specialized treatment for OCD.

My Specialized Focus: OCD & Anxiety Across the Lifespan

I specialize in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders for children, teens, and adults.

OCD can feel like an endless loop of intrusive thoughts and exhausting rituals. Whether you are a parent seeking help for your child or an adult navigating these cycles yourself, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD. I am uniquely positioned to support families where multiple members may be struggling with OCD or anxiety, providing a consistent language of healing for the whole home.

How ERP Works

In our sessions, we won’t just talk about the anxiety; we will actively work to disarm it.

  • For Adults: We work collaboratively to identify “safety behaviors” and compulsions, gradually leaning into discomfort to regain your freedom and mental space.

  • For Children: I translate these clinical tools into “bravery challenges,” using play and creativity to help them stand up to their “worry brain.”

My Specialized Focus with Young Clients

While I have a deep passion for working with the adult OCD population, I also maintain a dedicated focus on the unique developmental needs of children and teens:

  • Emotional Regulation: Helping children understand and manage “big feelings.”

  • Neurodiversity Affirming Support: Supporting ADHD and Autistic individuals (who often experience co-occurring OCD) to celebrate their strengths.

  • Behavioral Challenges: Partnering with parents to create a supportive home environment.

How I Work: The Power of Play and Parent Partnership

For young children, play is their natural language. I utilize specialized training in Play Therapy to help your child communicate their inner world and process difficult experiences in a way that feels safe, developmentally appropriate, and engaging. When working with OCD, I blend this playful approach with ERP to make “bravery practice” feel empowering rather than scary.

I firmly believe that parents are the experts on their child. To ensure success, I create a highly collaborative environment. We will work as a unified team, providing consistent support both at home and in the therapy room, which leads to meaningful and sustained emotional growth for your child.

My Background and Professional Dedication

My dedication to counseling is informed by robust academic training and diverse clinical experiences:

  • Currently completing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University.

  • Specialized Training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rowan University, with additional study in American Sign Language.

  • Prior Experience: Serving as a case manager for complex mental health needs and supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in vocational settings.

A Little About Me

Outside of my clinical work, I believe in the importance of maintaining balance. I enjoy activities that foster mindfulness and connection, such as puzzles, spending time with my cats, and relaxing with friends. These personal practices reinforce the holistic, balanced approach I bring to my sessions.
