Hailey Alles, MS, LSW

Hi, I’m Hailey (she/her/hers), a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, where I specialized in interpersonal violence and trauma. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn next—and I believe meaningful change is possible, even when things feel heavy or hopeless.

A Healing Approach

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and deeply client-centered. I view the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for healing and work intentionally to create a space that feels safe, grounding, and genuinely supportive. Whether you are an adult carrying the weight of past experiences or a parent feeling at your limit and worried about your child, my goal is for you to feel understood, respected, and not alone in the process.

I work through an attachment lens and honor each client’s innate capacity for growth and resilience. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced thoughtfully—meeting you where you are, while gently helping you move toward where you want to be. I see my role as both a guide and an empathetic witness, helping clients make sense of their experiences and build new ways of relating to themselves and others.

Connecting with Children, Teens, and Adults

I have experience working with children ages 3–17 on concerns including trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and self-harm. My background as a nanny continues to inform my work with children and parents alike, allowing me to connect naturally with young clients while also supporting caregivers with insight, compassion, and practical guidance. I understand how exhausting and isolating it can feel to advocate for your child while trying to hold everything together.

With adults and young adults, I support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of interpersonal violence. I also have experience working with individuals who have caused harm in the context of domestic violence, which has given me a nuanced and well-rounded understanding of trauma, accountability, and healing. I proudly work with and support clients exploring LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences.

How I’ll Tailor Our Sessions

My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Interpersonal Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, art, and a range of play-based modalities. Treatment is always individualized—thoughtfully tailored to the client’s needs, strengths, and goals.

I also recognize that none of us exist in isolation. Family dynamics, culture, systems, and environments all shape how we think, feel, and behave. In our work together, we take these broader influences into account and collaborate on ways to address challenges from multiple angles—so change feels both meaningful and sustainable.

Beyond the Session

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy writing, painting, and gardening. I am passionate about social justice, the environment, and creating spaces—both in and out of the therapy room—where people feel safe to grow.
