Lelan Lockwood-Maldonado, a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), is deeply passionate about supporting the emotional well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as the parents who support them.

Lelan offers a supportive, client-centered, and strength-based space where you or your child can feel truly seen and heard. She offers therapy both in-person at our practice and via secure telehealth sessions.

Support for Teens and Young Adults

Lelan excels at creating a genuine, non-judgmental connection with adolescents and young adults. She understands the unique pressures of navigating school, career, relationships, and identity formation.

Child and Family Therapy (Ages 3+)

For young children (ages 3+) and their parents, Lelan utilizes specialized approaches like Play Therapy and Parent Guidance to create lasting change and strengthen the family unit.

My Background & Commitment

Lelan holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of New Jersey. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Counseling at Montclair State University, with a research focus on adoption-related mental health and psychological resilience.

Lelan is the first author of the published article, “The Influence and Implications of Sibling Relationships on Adoptees’ Resilience,” which appeared in The Family Journal, reflecting her deep commitment to clinical excellence and research.
