Director & Clinical Consultant | 40 Years of Specialized Experience

Deep Roots. Proven Methods. Real Change.

When you have been a therapist for four decades, you learn one vital truth: no two paths to healing are identical. Whether you are a parent exhausted by your child’s OCD, a couple reeling from betrayal, or an adult feeling the heavy weight of past trauma, you aren’t looking for a “one-size-fits-all” approach. You are looking for someone who has the depth of experience to truly understand your pain and the specialized tools to help you move past it.

As the Director of the Center for Counseling and Education, I blend a compassionate, down-to-earth presence with high-level clinical expertise. My goal is to help you—and your family—move from feeling stuck in survival mode to living with connection and clarity.

Areas of Specialized Focus

I have spent my career pursuing advanced training in the most effective, evidence-based models available today. This allows me to offer a highly individualized experience in three core areas:

  • Trauma & Personal Healing: I specialize in helping adults navigate complex trauma and PTSD. As an EMDRIA Consultant and IFS-trained therapist, I use a “parts-work” and neurobiological lens to help you process the past without being overwhelmed by it.

  • OCD & Anxiety (Adults & Children): I provide specialized Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold standard for OCD. I work with adults and children of all ages, helping families regain control from the “bully” that is OCD.

  • Relationships & Betrayal Recovery: I help couples navigate the painful terrain of betrayal and disconnectedness. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and insights from Gottman and Imago, I work to repair the attachment bond and create lasting intimacy.

  • Children & Parenting Support: My heart is in the “system.” I support parents through the challenges of raising children with anxiety or behavioral needs, utilizing Play Therapy and attachment-focused family work to strengthen the parent-child bond.

Why Experience Matters

I am deeply grateful for the honors I’ve received over the years—from being named ‘NJ Counselor of the Year’ to serving as an adjunct professor. But if you were to ask me what I’m most proud of, it wouldn’t be an award or a title. It would be the 40 years of trust my clients have placed in me. My true passion isn’t in the accolades, but in the practical, everyday work of helping you find relief from anxiety, OCD, trauma, or the pain of a disconnected relationship.

I don’t just “talk” about problems; I use cutting-edge modalities to facilitate rapid, consistent improvement. I am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, respected, and—most importantly—hopeful.
