Guiding Your Path to Understanding, Connection, and Growth

Are you or your child navigating the complexities of anxiety, trauma, or depression? Is your family struggling with communication, or are you seeking support for unique learning challenges like ADHD or Autism? Seeking help is a courageous step, and my commitment is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen, heard, and appreciated.

I’m Megan, and my approach is rooted in the belief that every behavior has a reason. Whether I am working with an individual or a couple, we will work to uncover the roots of your challenges, clarify your unique needs, and collaboratively develop actionable strategies to move forward with greater peace.

Deepening Connection: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Central to my work with couples and families is my specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). While much of my work focuses on individual growth and advocacy, I believe that true healing often happens within our closest relationships.

Through the lens of EFT, I help couples and families identify the “negative cycles” that keep them stuck in repetitive conflict. By focusing on emotional safety and attachment, I guide partners to move past surface-level arguments—whether they are about parenting, school stress, or household tension—and find their way back to a place of deep, secure connection.

Specialized Support for Neurodiversity & Mental Health

My diverse experience allows me to offer tailored support across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of concerns:

  • Healing from Trauma & Stress: Utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I help individuals process distressing experiences, reducing the impact of trauma to find greater calm and resilience.

  • Navigating ADHD & Autism: I provide a neurodiversity-affirming space for individuals and families impacted by ADHD and Autism. I offer practical strategies to enhance communication, manage the specific executive functioning challenges of daily life, and foster a home environment where everyone thrives.

  • Managing Anxiety & Depression: Through CBT and other evidence-based approaches, I teach practical tools to gain control over overwhelming thoughts and persistent worry.

  • Empowering Parents with Coaching: Gain valuable insights to better understand your child’s behaviors, improve communication, and foster a more harmonious family environment.

Unparalleled Expertise in School-Related Concerns

With a decade of experience as a certified school psychologist and a current school counselor, I offer an “insider’s perspective” on the educational system that is rare in a clinical setting. I specialize in helping parents navigate:

  • IEPs & 504 Plans: I can demystify complex reports, explain your rights, and help you partner effectively with educators.

  • Academic & Behavioral Transitions: Guiding students through the social and academic hurdles of moving from elementary through college.

Professional Dedication

My commitment to the field of mental health is backed by extensive academic and professional leadership. I hold a BA in Psychology from The Catholic University of America, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University, and certification in School Psychology from Rowan University.

My contributions to the field have been recognized by my peers through several prestigious honors:

  • NJASP Excellence in Service Award (2009): Awarded during my tenure on the GUSTO board of the New Jersey Association of School Psychologists.

  • School Counselor of the Year Nominee (2022 & 2024): Nominated twice for my dedication to student well-being.

  • Leadership: I currently serve as the President of the Burlington County School Counselors Association.

  • Authorship & Academia: As an Adjunct Professor at Stockton University, I train the next generation of counselors and am a proud textbook author for the Perspectives on Childhood course.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I’m not working with clients or teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and boating. These passions enrich my life and inform the empathetic, grounded approach I bring to our sessions.
