Shaindy Black

Shaindy Black, Esq., LSW (she/her) is a Licensed Social Worker passionate about helping children, adults, and families. She creates a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood – empowering individuals of all ages as they embark on their journeys toward positive change.

Shaindy is certified in Sand Play Therapy. She offers a client-centered approach and provides a secure, nurturing environment for exploring inner worlds through the transformative potential of sand. With expertise in working with families affected by ADHD, Shaindy provides parents with practical skills to manage symptoms at home and school. She helps families develop structured routines and effective behavior strategies, encouraging success and strengthening relationships with evidence-based practices.

Shaindy personally understands the justice system’s emotional impact on litigants and legal professionals. She provides specialized support, using therapeutic tools and practical strategies to manage anxiety, uncertainty, and stress – guiding clients through the challenges of the justice system with clarity, confidence, and emotional stability. With deep insight into the effects of divorce, Shaindy creates a safe, non-judgmental space to process emotions, explore options, and move forward in a way that honors personal well-being. She also offers personalized guidance for children and supports parents in navigating changes in family dynamics with compassion and care.

Shaindy holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pennsylvania, with a specialization in Child Welfare and Well-Being, and a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Her credentials include an Interdisciplinary BA from Touro University, where she studied Psychology and Computer Science, and a Certificate in Law from Penn Carey Law School. She completed a social science fellowship at CHILD USA, a non-profit think tank working to preserve and strengthen children’s rights, and she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care.

Shaindy enjoys beaches and travel, and she loves to camp with the horses at Assateague Island.
