Hannah Lee
Hannah Lee is an MSW Graduate Student at Simmons University who has worked with children, adolescents, and their families for over ten years as a librarian. They hold space in their sessions for openness, personal expression, and authenticity, with work rooted in a growth-mindset that empowers individuals to recognize the unique gifts that can allow them to achieve success.
Hannah is always warm, welcoming, and joyful. They understand that their sessions are a time-limited space in which someone can find refuge and, in that, find new potential in their approaches to daily life. Within their MSW program, they are receiving training in trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy. Previously, they earned their Masters in Library Information Science with a specialization in Children’s Services from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. in English from Bethany College.
As a librarian, Hannah has worked with every age and background and approaches each new topic with sensitivity. They were the community resource for many topics such as family issues, career and college prep, multicultural connections, LGBTQ+ identities, and emotional regulation. They bring light to the parent-child bond and help uncover the secret joys that build strength in the face of adversity.
As of 2024, they are a certified Therapeutic Game Master for tabletop roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons and have been trained to lead a wide range of meditation techniques, including autogenics, heart-centered meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation.
In their spare time, Hannah loves to spend time watching the Great British Baking Show with their toddler, learning new board games with friends, and reading all different types of books.
