Allison Gonzalez
Allison Gonzalez, MSW, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker with a Bachelor of Science in social work from Monmouth University and a Master of Science in social work from Rutgers, with a specialization in clinical treatment. She is a first-generation college graduate whose parents immigrated from Central America. Her personal experiences and background set the foundation for her client-centered, strengths-based treatment approach as she understands that not one individual is the same and every person has a right to own and understand their personal story.
Allison has over five years of experience working in acute higher levels of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. She has counseled children, teens, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders with co-occurring disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, and depression. Allison provides a safe, non-judgmental, trauma-informed space for clients to show up unapologetically and to authentically be themselves.
When Allison is not in sessions, she is taking care of her dog Niko and her plants, watching reruns of her comfort shows, and enjoying time with friends and family.
