Lynn DeLaurentis

Lynn DeLaurentis, LPC, RPT, BCB has worked in the mental health field for the past 15 years, initially focused on biofeedback and stress management. She helps children, adolescents, adults, and couples struggling with headaches, anger management, anxiety/panic attacks, depression, perinatal mood disorders (during pregnancy and postpartum for mothers and partners), eating disorders, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) (skin-picking, hair pulling & nail-biting), grief and loss, transitions, marriage, parenting, parent-child relationship issues, and trauma.

Lynn trained with an international, integrative naturopath for many years and has expertise in how aspects of daily living impact the brain and body. She has extensive experience in nutrition and myofascial trigger point release, which lends itself to understanding how the physiological complexities of the human body are integral to mental well-being.

Lynn is board certified in biofeedback through the national organization, Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). Biofeedback training enables an individual to learn how to recognize and change physiological activity including heart rate, breathing, muscle tension, and skin temperature. Research indicates biofeedback can decrease stress, anxiety, and depression as well as improve sleep and cognitive functioning.

Lynn earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences from Stockton University. While taking time off to raise her children, she was actively involved in youth ministries, homeschooling, and several mission trips to Jamaica. After an uphill battle with fibromyalgia, Lynn chose to receive training first in what helped heal her – biofeedback and nutrition. She then continued her education, pursuing her passion for helping others with a graduate degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

Lynn is a lifelong learner, enjoying the opportunity to learn new skills and increase her knowledge base in current areas of work. She completes over 50 hours of continuing education each year covering a variety of topics in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Sandtray therapy, eating disorders, trauma, perinatal mood disorders, sand tray, mindfulness, and related counseling topics. SPACE is a parent-based program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, selective mutism, and related problems.

Lynn has been a volunteer EMT with Evesham Fire-Rescue as well as a member of the National Canoe Safety Patrol on the Upper Delaware through the National Park Service. She enjoys white-water kayaking, hiking, nature, gardening, baking, reading, prayer, and spending time with friends and family, including her grandchildren.
