Chloe Rivas
Chloe Rivas is an MSW Graduate Student at Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida International University. She is deeply passionate about aiding children, teens, families, and adults. She is committed to providing compassionate and effective therapy, and supporting the holistic well-being of every individual and family she works with. Chloe understands that life can simply be hard! It’s important to have a safe space to cope with life’s hardest moments. Chloe aims to provide that safe space, especially for those who have gone through traumatic experiences.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Chloe comes from an extensive background in education. Having previously been an instructor and a behavioral analysis paraprofessional, Chloe has experience working with neurodivergent children of varying ages, particularly children on the Autism Spectrum. She has been trained in neuro-affirming therapies for Autism, such as DIR Floortime, and uses those principles when she works with neurodiverse children and adults.
As a Hispanic woman who has traveled to South America to assist individuals in impoverished areas through education, Chloe offers a global and culturally sensitive perspective. She also has extensive experience serving her community as a volunteer mentor to children and teens in the US experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Chloe advocates for all clients to embrace curiosity and embark on a journey of self-discovery aimed at emotional well-being and personal growth.
In her downtime, Chloe enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Chip! She also loves traveling with her husband, baking, interior design, and cooking.
